Trade Finance Partners have an excellent relationship with a well-established business introducer based in Sweden. The Nordic region and in particular Sweden is a strong market for trade finance as the local providers of traditional finance lack detailed knowledge of how trade finance works.
- Trade Finance Partners were introduced to a client; a family owned and run construction company based in the Stockholm area. The client had recently refinanced and restructured its activities which included a fresh injection of capital from the owners.
- The client had acquired the rights to a steel portal frame building system that was attractive to the local market having achieved approval from Swedish authorities for use in heavy snowfall areas.
- Trade Finance Partners were approached to fund a potential transaction. Initially it appeared that TFP were being asked to finance a construction risk which would not have been acceptable.
- Following a number of meetings and a visit to Sweden Trade Finance Partners and its client restructured the transaction such that Trade Finance Partners agreed to purchase on a supply only basis the steel portal frame buildings from the supplier in Eastern Europe and deliver them to site in Sweden.
Trade Finance Partners provided a trade finance facility of E700,000 which following a successful revolution will hopefully be revolving again following the clients current tendering activity.
